Archdiocese of Seattle, Canonist/Tribunal Judge

The Metropolitan Tribunal of the Archdiocese of Seattle wishes to hire a full-time Canonist/Tribunal Judge, who will be responsible primarily for directing and adjudicating marriage nullity cases.  He or she will assume responsibilities in other areas of canon law as appropriate and as directed. The successful candidate will work with the Director of the Tribunal.

The qualified candidate will be an active, practicing Catholic in full communion with the Church and possess at least a licentiate in canon law (J.C.L.).   The candidate must have a comprehensive mastery of canon law, especially, current jurisprudence. In addition, he or she must have excellent writing skills and command of the English language. Fluency in Spanish, Vietnamese, or Tagalog would be an advantage. Previous tribunal experience is preferred.
