Province of Oklahoma City Tribunal Workshop

The 2012 Provincial Tribunal Workshop will be held in Oklahoma City on August 9-10, 2012. Our guest speaker will be Cardinal Raymond Burke. Pope John Paul II called Cardinal Burke to be the first American Defender of the Bond on the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura. On June 27, 2008, Pope Benedict XVI appointed Cardinal Burke to the office of Prefect of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura. The topics at this workshop will be:

o The Diocesan Bishop as Moderator of the Ecclesiastical Tribunal.

o Vigilance over the Correct Administration of Justice by the Apostolic Signatura.

o Canonical Jurisprudence Regarding Simulation and Some New Grounds of Nullity Introduced by Local Tribunals.

o Current Questions Regarding the Administration of Temporal Goods.
