Two CLSA Members Honored by Pope Benedict XVI
Tuesday, May 6, 2008
His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI, appointed two U.S. Bishops to
membership on Congregations of the Holy See. Archbishop John J.
Meyers, Archbishop of Newark, NJ, and Archbishop Raymond L. Burke,
Archbishop of St. Louis, Missouri, were appointed to the Pontifical
Council for Legislative Texts. Archbishop Burke was also appointed as
a member of the Congregation of the Clergy. Our best wishes and
prayers are offered to both churchmen as they assume additional duties
for the Catholic Church.
