The John Courtney Murray Award for Excellence in Theology, the highest honor bestowed by the Catholic Theological Society of America, was awarded to Rev. James A. Coriden this week.
Fr. Coriden, an Active member of the CLSA since 1961, was honored with this award "for his distinguished scholarship and tireless service to the academy and the Church". It has been over ten years since the Catholic Theological Society has given this award to a canon law scholar.
Jim's outstanding contribution to the fields of theology and canon law benefits a range of people around the globe. This award is long overdue! Congratulations, Jim. Gratefully, we will continue to work with you in seeing that the needs of people are met. Eileen Jaramillo, JCL, DMin, Diocese of Lansing, Michigan.

Congratulations, Jim, on well-deserved recognition. Theologians are naught if not carefully considerate of such.
