The Office of Canonical Services of the Diocese of San Bernardino, California, is currently seeking a full-time canonist to serve as Judge in the marriage Tribunal. This person is expected to work closely with the Judicial Vicar and other members of the office to instruct and complete annulment cases in a timely manner.  The main daily work of this canonist will be to interview the parties and witnesses in annulment cases. This canonist may also be expected to hold the office of Advocate or Defender of the Bond, as assigned by the Judicial Vicar, and to act professionally, confidentially and ethically in these offices.  A willingness to take on other canonical duties (for example, giving talks and workshops on canonical matters) is also essential. The canonist must be bilingual – English and Spanish – and must have at least a J.C.L. Prior experience in Tribunal work is preferred but not essential.
